Welcome to Grandma's family...

where the recipes are as sweet as Grandma herself!

Sheila MuellerGrandma's Favorite Recipes really started when I was a child. Grandma knew which of her recipes were my favorites; she made them every time I came. I never visited her home without finding warm, chocolate chip cookies. Did she ever pour in the chocolate chips! No matter how many were coming for dinner she would make fresh homemade noodles and serve them with gravy! Even when I was grown and returned with my own little family she still prepared my favorites.

Wayne loves to grill and we all love barbecue (sloppy joes), but were unable to find a sauce we really liked. Most of the sauces on the market were too spicy. So I created a sweet barbecue sauce recipe we all enjoyed. We eat it on everything, off the grill or out of the oven. No more steak sauce for us!

That recipe has served my family for almost 30 years. Now we have three generations that love Grandma's Little Sweetheart. When we invited guests or went to a potluck, the most requested item was my barbecue. People claimed that it was sooo good that I should sell it. My reply was "who would buy barbecue sauce from a woman in Wisconsin?" As it turned out, lots of people would!

on the road againIn 1995, I started selling my original recipe (Grandma's Little Sweetheart) at craft shows. However, since Wayne is the Tim Taylor of barbecue sauce, it wasn't long until he started to 'tweak' my recipe and develop more recipes: 1996, Smoky Recipe (hickory); 1997, Nice 'n Warm (as the name implies) and Grandma's Bad Boy (more power - oo oo oo!); 1998, Pineapple Glaze; 1999, Onion Recipe; 2000, Garlic Recipe and Grandma's Smokin' Bad Boy (mesquite). Wayne is still working to develop more recipes and preparing made-to-order bakery.

I thought that I would start small and grow when Wayne retired. But in 2000 we sold over two tons of Barbecue sauce and we're still growing. At this rate we may never stop!

While I continue to sell at craft shows, I'm looking for a specialty store in your area to carry my products. If you know of someone who might be interested in increasing their revenue please contact them or me, so you can find Grandma's Favorite Recipes at your favorite store, all year around.
