Hamburger Tips

Wayne browns the hamburger, then runs it through the food processor for a couple of whirls to break the meat so small.

Grilling Tips

  • Select cuts that are tender and lean, such as small steaks or chops
  • Check that your grill is ready. Place your hand, palm down, about five inches from heat. If you can keep your hand in place no more than two seconds, the fire is hot, three seconds, it's medium; and five seconds it's low.
  • Red meat or pork is well done at 160°
  • Poultry is well done in low heat at 180°
  • Boneless poultry is well done at 160°
  • For safety's sake meat should not be under cooked or charred.
  • Use long-handled tongs or spatulas to turn food to avoid spilling juices or fat onto the coals.
  • Watch your fire; always keep a spray bottle of water handy to keep flames from charring the food.
